Praying for Revival

Father God thank You for being Holy – completely different than me. I praise You for Your goodness and mercy. Thank You for grace unimaginable. Oh my God You are so patient with me. Thank You for making a wretch like me Your treasure. Thank You for Jesus who died so I could live.

Forgive me Lord for angry outbursts, You say my anger does not bring about Your righteousness. Forgive me for being focused on myself rather than Jesus. May my heart's desire and my life's aim be more of You and less of me.

Holy Spirit please fall on this land. Fill the hearts of those turned toward You that revival may start in hearts. Give Your people a hunger and love for Your Word. Help us to live Spirit-filled lives and may Your Spirit blow across our land. Revive us. Wake us up from our slumber Lord. May we hunger and thirst for You above all things.

Heal our broken hearts. Father give us eyes to see You are in control. Help us to cling to You and to trust You in every circumstance of life. Give us words of life to speak so others may come to be Your children too.

Lord be with the person reading this blog right now. Lord be so near to her that she has no doubts about who You are. Give her peace and joy today. Peace that passes understanding and joy that endures through all things. May the cry of her heart be to bring You honor in all she says and does.

I pray these things for Your glory and honor. Amen.

Angela is a stumbling woman in need of God’s scandalous grace. Through faith in Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, she bears the name Christian. She speaks and writes to make much of this God, His only Son, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit who lives in her. She graduated college with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and is a Registered Nurse. She also obtained her Masters of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies through Knox Theological Seminary.
