When Change is Inevitable

Snow falls silently melting as it hits the warm earth. The damp air holds the smell of wet earth. The moisture adds to the brilliancy of autumn leaves still clinging to trees.

Winter and autumn entangle fighting for supremacy. The earth quiet beneath the fight waiting, preparing, resting, trusting it will turn out right–for the earth knows its Creator.

As seasons in our lives change sometimes we are like the leaves and cling to death and dying. Not willing to let go of what is for what will be. Perhaps we need to be more like the earth. Waiting. Preparing. Resting. Trusting.

Waiting for direction from God. He knows the way.

Preparing our hearts and lives for something new. He makes all things new.

Resting in Him. His yoke is easy and His burden is light.

Trusting His way is best. He has plans for us to prosper us.

How do we wait, prepare, rest and trust? Just like the Earth we need to know our Creator. Spending time in His word, casting our cares on Him, taking His yoke and laying down ours. Yes trust comes the more we know and love Him who loves us more than we deserve.
